Why not hire an ops manager?

Often you should. An ops manager is the right answer when the work needs judgment that changes case by case. Infrastructure is the right answer when the same decision gets made the same way a hundred times a month and a person is the one carrying the data between systems. Most brands we look at need some of both. If a hire solves it, we'll say so in the Audit and you'll have spent $750 to find out instead of $95k.

Why not just use Zapier or Make?

For a lot of things, use them. They're good at moving a record from A to B when A and B agree on what the record is. They struggle when identity is ambiguous, when a failure needs to be caught rather than retried silently, and when the logic has to be inspected six months later by someone who didn't build it. If your automations are working, keep them. We connect to them.

Why not our Shopify agency?

Different discipline. A Shopify agency owns the storefront, theme, conversion, PDP, checkout. We own the layer behind it, where orders, customer identity, support, ad platforms, and POS have to agree with each other. Most of our work sits in systems your Shopify agency never touches, and we'd rather work alongside them than around them.

Why not an AI automation agency?

Because the category starts from the wrong end. It begins with a technology and looks for somewhere to apply it. We begin with the constraint, and AI is the fourth thing we reach for after people, process, and systems. Sometimes it's the right tool. Frequently the answer is a clean integration, a rule, or a process change, and no model at all.

What if the answer is "don't build"?

Then that's the recommendation, and it's a legitimate outcome of the Audit rather than a failure of it. You keep the Ops Canvas, the Opportunity Matrix, and the ROI Case. We'd rather lose a build than hand a founder a system that costs them attention and returns nothing. It's also the reason the Audit isn't free, a diagnostic that can only conclude "yes" isn't a diagnostic.
